Does Dr. Salter have specialty focus areas?

Immunotherapeutics is one area of medicine that Dr. Salter is passionate about. Immunotherapeutics is the science of optimizing your immune system and its response. Immune disorders are at the root of most all 21st century diseases and represent most of our greatest healthcare concerns. Cancer, Alzheimer’s dementia, gastrointestinal disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, heart disease, autoimmune diseases, and arthritis, to name a few, are conditions which are caused, by or significantly affected by immune system dysregulation. Keeping your immune system healthy, utilizing new diagnostics tests to identify issues contributing to immune dysfunction, and promoting the healing and restoration of a challenged immune system are key components. Patients with diseases resulting from immune dysregulation will receive safe and effective complimentary therapies and holistic treatments, and as well as conventional treatment options which can assure optimal health.

Weight Loss is one of the most significant healthcare changes we can control. Endocrine/hormone balance, nutrition, detoxification, mind-body connections, and modalities available in the Medi-spa are effective means to the end this healthcare crisis.

Comprehensive Breast Health Prevent Breast Cancer. S.T.O.P.-I.T! is an Integrative Holistic Breast Health Program for all women. Breast cancer is the number one female cancer, afflicting one out of eight women over a lifetime. The best war on breast cancer is to prevent it before it starts or early detection before it spreads.

How does Dr. Salter feel about prescription medications?

Prescription medicine must be carefully chosen and used

  1. When other more natural treatments have not been effective
  2. At smallest dosage to receive maximum benefits
  3. With a conscious goal of promoting cellular health to shorten the time a patient is on prescription medication

Dr. Salter allocates time and effort to remain current with natural remedies, nutrition, homeopathic, nutritional compounds, supplements and prescription medications by reviewing independent research verses vendor company recommendations.

What testing is available?

Comprehensive and accurate testing is not always available in conventional medicine offices. Dr. Salter makes every effort to provide the newest, most advanced and accurate testing options available to you. She also constantly seeks to offer the testing at the lowest price possible to the patient with no markup with the office. There are many cases where the right test yields the ‘ah-ha’ moment to help those patients that have been struggling for answers or suffering because contributing factors to their illness was missed. Internet searches are confusing and misleading; accessing the newest diagnostic testing with proven accuracy is often only available in an Integrative Medicine office.

What is Concierge Medicine?

Concierge medicine is about you. It is a complete wellness process that works. Medicine should not be influenced by profit-driven pharmaceutical and insurance companies. It should be about what you need. Internet searches are confusing and misleading. Accessing therapies, evaluating supplements and products and finding better testing is difficult, if not impossible for patients. Concierge medicine is about great healthcare with one physician in one office.

What is a Vibrant Health Investment Program (VHIP ™)?

VHIP ™ is the implementation of a safe, personalized and customized health program created for you by Dr. Christine Salter. It is proven and effective. It is a type of concierge medical program.

Must I be a member of the Concierge Wellness Program to see Dr. Salter?

There is no commitment required. The process begins with an initial appointment. After that, you will need to determine if ongoing integrative care with Dr. Salter is the best healthcare choice for you. At that point, you may become a ‘practice partner patient’ through one of the concierge programs. (A staff member of the Centre For Vibrant Health And Wellness will explain the VHIP program to you after your first visit.) However, we are so certain that you will be completely satisfied, we allow the financial responsibility to be month to month. Financing and prepaid discounts are available.

What do I need to do to begin the process for an initial appointment?

Email to our office manager at christinew@drsalter.com or call (314) 395-9777 and follow the directions. Please leave a message if you do not get a live person. Calls will be returned promptly. Routine calls will be returned as soon as the physician is available to answer your questions. For eligible and established patients that are partners in our Vibrant Health Investment Program (VHIP), e-mail communication is available and Dr. Salter is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Can I keep my primary provider?

Yes. Integrative Medicine is a blend of both conventional medicine and alternative medicine, and is meant to co-exist with conventional healthcare. Dr. Salter is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, board certified in Integrative Holistic Medicine and Obesity Medicine, and is a Chiropractic and Naturopathy & Osteopathic graduate physician with extra training as a Bariatric Physician. Her goal is to bring together the best of all medicine. Dr. Salter is glad to work collaboratively with your primary doctor and provide her expertise to help manage specific aspects of your health.

Do we accept insurance?

The Centre For Vibrant Health And Wellness is out of network for all insurances including Medicare. However, all billable office visits and procedures will be submitted electronically on the clients’ behalf to all 3rd party carriers except Medicare and commercial HMOs for any out of network benefit reimbursement. Some of the treatments and therapies in the RejuveNew Medi-Spa are billable to commercial insurances.

What is the refund policy?

All refunds will be provided as a credit to the credit card used at the time of purchase as follows:

  • Cancellation of the initial consult appointment on the same day that the appointment was made will result in a full refund
  • Cancellation any time after that date, but twenty-four hours before the appointment will be refunded; however, you will incur a $50 processing fee
  • Cancellation within twenty-four hours of the appointment or on the day of the appointment will result in a credit on the patient’s account but no refund will be issued

(this credit may be used for a future appointment)

Why are patients asked to pay for visits ahead of time?

The average face-to-face time with a physician during an office visit in a conventional medical practice is up to 7 minutes.Alternatively, the average face-to-face time with Dr. Salter during the office visit is 60 mins and may go as long as 90 mins. The time spent with Dr. Salter is longer because she blends her training in holistic medicine along with conventional medicine to address the root causes of the presenting issues. This is part of the Concierge Wellness practice model compared to the “in and out” sickness model. For this reason when an office visit is scheduled, and that amount of time is blocked out, we must know that the patient is going to keep the appointment and that the practice will be reimbursed for that block of time.
