A Message From Dr. Salter
Greetings,
Welcome to the world of Advanced Integrative Concierge Medicine! I love what I do. I see myself as an artist of personalized healthy aging for the 21st Century . . . and It seems like the longer I practice, the more I agree with Sir William Osler when it comes to true health care. Osler said, “It is important to know about the disease, but even more important to know about the patient who has the disease.” To that end, I have established a wellness goal for all of my patients: To enhance longevity to the fullest extent of happy and joyous functional health.Life must have meaning and value to give the proper context for health strategies. So in my practice, to accomplish healthy aging and well-being, I blend the best of conventional (or allopathic) medicine with holistic disciplines and approaches. My office visit experience embraces motivational lifestyle coaching, the best of conventional medicine and holistic therapies. I see my role as a wellness facilitator because the body is the true healer. It has an innate ability to heal itself, given the right conditions.
As a practice model, this translates to a combination of more traditional methods of advanced lipid testing, innovative cardiac tests (such as digital pulse analysis), judicious use of off-label medicines (such as low dose naltrexone*) and bioidentical hormones in an integrative way with frequency specific microcurrent (FSM), therapeutic nutrition, nutraceuticals, naturopathy, osteopathy, chiropractic, auriculomedicine, aromatherapy, herbs, and low level laser therapy.
Because of my unique skill set, I have developed a new type of medical practice called Advanced Integrative Concierge Medicine (AICM). It is a blend of the following: Holistic Medicine includes Chiropractic Medicine, Naturopathy and European Osteopathy.
My AICM model is delivered in a manner that reaffirms the importance of the relationship between practitioner and patient, focusing on the whole person, yet also addressing issues at the cellular and even the subcellular level. This model is evidence based, and makes use of all therapeutic approaches, including other healthcare professionals and disciplines to achieve optimal health and healing. But in achieving that optimum health, some believe that genes are the ultimate prognosticator. Do genes have the last say? I think not. You don’t have to fall victim to the same diseases as your family members. I believe in epigenetics, a proven theory that genes respond to signals from our environment as well as what we eat and drink, how we move, and from our thoughts. So, AICM addresses mind, body and spirit, all of which change genetic expression. Here’s the bottom line: True health care in practice measures, monitors and modulates the quantum metrics of wellness.
Please explore the website for much more information. My wish for your journey to optimal health and total wellness is eloquently stated in 3 John 2: “Above all things beloved, I wish that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.”
Sincerely,
Christine Salter MD, DC
